To immortalize this inaugural 0-150-0 MPH performance test, Car and Driver invited the crew from the speed vision cable network. They accompanied Car and Driver for the entire program including the day long road drive, and the day at the Chrysler proving grounds in nearby Chelsea Michigan. In the process they recorded the happenings from roadside, from within the car and even from the hood of some of the cars.

By measuring a car’s stopping power as well as its sheer acceleration, it was a straight line test more acceptable to the sports car world than the conventional, single dimensional quarter mile drag race.
