1983 GMC Caballero Manufacturer Promo
The 1983 Caballero looked so much like the 1982 model that the picture of the base model used in the sales catalogs from the two years was exactly the same, except for the size. The picture of the Caballero Amarillo in front of an antiques shop was also identical except that the two-tone color combination was changed by the cataolg artists.
The main news this year was the offering of a 5.7 liter diesel V-8. There was also new simulated leather grain trim on the instrument panel and steering wheel shroud, replacing the previous wood grain trim, and five new trim colors.
