The 1986 BMW 735i and L7 were roomy four-passenger sedans that offered a luxurious ride and comfort with traditional BMW handling.
The L7 was a one year only model, from 1986 through 1987, and was the luxury version of the 735i. It was the same mechanically. It differed slightly in trim levels and featured a full leather interior in light gray only, including the dash. Other features included a two-stage heating for the front seats and a drivers side air bag, and the L7 was available in either Polaris Silver or Diamond Black. In , the L7 was available only with the 4-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission.
