2004 Chevroelt Colorado Test Drive
Chevrolet’s all-new midsize Colorado was larger, more powerful, and more sophisticated than the S-10 it replaced. Spunky new Vortec 2800 inline-four and optional 3500 five-cylinder DOHC engines were derived from the Trailblazer’s 4200 six. The diverse model lineup offered regular, extended, and crew cabs, three suspension packages, five-speed manual and four-speed automatic gearboxes, and rear- or four-wheel drive. Options included a locking differential and traction control for RWD models. Crew cabs sat up to six and could be fitted with side curtain airbags, heated leather seats, OnStar, and XM Satellite Radio.
