Now in its second year, the competent rear-drive STS proved Cadillac had regained its stature. Optional AWD was now offered with V-6 or V-8 engines. Although based on the same platform as the smaller CTS, it had a sleeker look and a more refined interior. The big news was the V edition, powered by a supercharged version of the Northstar engine. Finally, Cadillac had a large luxury sedan that could go head-to-head against its Euro rivals.
