1993 BMW 740i Test Drive
The 7 Series is the high end of the Bavarian builders’ prestigious range. BMW multiplies its efforts to confront main competitor Mercedes, in most segments where it has established its reputations. BMW is falling in step in the V8 domain where the master of Sindelfingen is a few lengths ahead.

Looks just like mine, only it’s blue inside and out. Very well balanced and even at close to 2 tons you can throw that thing into turns very well, although mine is lowered and thus loses a bit of the comfort. The only thing that bothers me is that 5 speed automatic, it’s unbelievably dimwitted when not inside Sport mode and shifts whenever it damn well wants to, not when it should for maximum efficiency.
I much more prefer the beefy 4 speed 4t80 on my 97 Seville.
