51993 Ford Taurus SHO Automatic Preview & Test Drive
Ford’s sporty Taurus SHO (“Super High Output”) made do with ‘just’ a five speed maualand3.0 twincam V-6 on its 1989 debut. For 1993 it finally got a four speed automatic option and a 3.2 liter V-6 (making the same 220 horses) to go with it. Still, sales remained slow.
Yamaha made really pretty engines.
Yeah, the ‘bundle of snakes’ intake runners really made that engine stand out. I wish modern engines took the same approach instead of the stupid plastic engine covers we have now.
Yup
Putting an auto in this was easier said than done. Love this gen.
