1983 Ford Ranger Manufacturer Promotional Video – Overview
This compact light truck was launched in March 1982 with only 2wd. At the end of the same year a 4wd was added along with a diesel engine and a 5-speed transmission. In 1983 a 2.8 liter v6 was offered optionally. Robust and multi use, the Ranger was met with well merited success, both as a leisure vehicle and a workhorse, where its high cargo capacity put it ahead of its American competition.
