Like usual, we believed that the 911 would have experienced important, even radical, changes and once again the factory contented itself with a repeat of the last 30 years, subtle variations on a unique and familiar theme. The Carrera 2 is available in coupe and convertible, while the body of the 4 has increased in size. The Speedster is a simplified convertible, the RS is a lightened competition style coupe and the Turbo only has the look, because all of them are equipped with the same boxer style 6-cylinder opposed engine and transmission for 2 or 4-wheel drive. The Tiptronic 4-speed automatic is only available on the Carrera 2 and the speedster. Just for the love of driving, there are better, less expensive, but also less glorious!
