1981 Chevrolet Malibu Commercial – Sport Sedan
The Chevrolet Malibu continued as a study in efficient improvements. Notice the fresh new grille, and the use of 35-psi tires. The Malibu used GM’s Computer Control Command (CCC) emissions system (as did all GM cars in 1981), and an on board microprocessor. The standard engine was the 3.8 liter V6, a 4.4 liter V-8 was optional. The 5 liter engine was still required in California and in station wagons nationwide.
