1983 Pontiac 6000 Promo


Model offerings increased to five for 1983. High output 2.8 liter V6 added to engine lineup. OHV 2.5 liter 4-cylinder base powerplant for carry over models, with 2.8 liter V6 (112 hp) and 4.3 liter diesel V6 optional in standard sedans as well as LE versions. Limited production 6000 STE added to top Pontiac’s A-car line. Package included 135 hp HO V6, multi-adjustable bucket seats with optional pigskin suede upholstery, electronic rear leveling, unique front styling with grille mounted driving lights, blackout tail lights, 4-spoke steering wheel, special Y99 suspension specific 14-in. aluminum wheels with P195/70R14 Goodyear Eagle GT tires. All other 6000’s offered with optional 14-in.aerodynamic aluminum wheels. At the start of production all 6000s were fitted with GM’s 3-speed automatic transmission with a new 4-speed overdrive automatic replacing THM125C 3 speeder early in 83.

still have my 83 pontiac 6000ste and only has 52677 miles on it love this car
