Two seats does not a sports car make. Removing the top does not either. Buick’s drop top version of the hand built 1988 Reatta, was new for 1990, and still being front wheel drive, it kept the ride and luxury of a traditional Buick. It really is a shame the car was not as successful as intended, but being put together by hand presented it with an expensive entry price. Perhaps not as spendy as the cross continental build process Cadillac’s Allante had, but spendy nonetheless!
I LIKE 1990-91 BUICK REATTA CONVERTIBLE VERY SMOOTH LUXURY CAR BASED OF CADILLAC ALLANTE DID THE MOTOR TREND ’90 CAR OF THE YEAR 1 OF 7 CONTENDERS DIDN’T WON BUT LINCOLN TOWN CAR WON
Sad people were so slow they did not realize that in 88 a car had TOUCH SCREEN controls when computers were 286’s and 386’s. The would not come back for over 13 – 15 years.
