1993 GMC Sonoma Manufacturer Promo

Like ts S-10 counterpart at Chevrolet, the downsize GMC pickup was introduced as a two wheel drive in 1982 and as a 4×4 in 1983.  Then called the S-15, it carried either a 119 cubic-inch four cylinder or a 172 ci V6 that put out 110 horsepower at 4800 rpm. The original V6 was eventually replaced with the 4.3 liter 262 ci V6, which put out 160 flywheel horses at 4000 rpm and 230 lb-ft of torque at 2800 rpm. Beginning with model year 1991, the pickup was renamed Sonoma, giving it a little more differentiation from the Chevy offering.  Names aside, however, the Chevrolet S-10 and the GMC Sonoma lines were identical behind their badges.
