2002 Acura TL Type S Test Drive

Acura’s midsize/near luxury sedan benefited from a significant mid-generation upgrade for 2002. Restyled front and rear fascias also heralded the arrival of the hotter Type S variant.  While the TL’s base engine remained quite capable, stepping up to the Type S bumped horsepower to 260, and added a stiffer suspension, 17-in wheels, stability assist, and several performance flavored interior bits.
