2002 Hyundai Sonata Test Drive

For 2002, the Sonata received a full facelift.  The Sonata’s V-6 grew from 2.5 to 2.7 liters, while horsepower increased from 170 to 181. The available four speed automatic was now equipped with Hyundai’s Shifttronic feature, which allowed the driver to manually shift up or down.  The independent multilink rear suspension was revised to provide improved handling and a smoother ride.
