2002 Mazda MPV Test Drive
The Mazda MPV minivan rolled into 2002 with minimal changes. Second row seats slide out easily, and the third row seat tumbles into a stowage compartment to create excellent cargo space. Dual sliding doors, along with power windows, were standard on the top two trim levels. The V6 engine, sourced from parent Ford, delivered smooth power. The MPV ranked among the smaller minivans, making it nimble and easy to thread into tight parking spots. All the typical minivan options were available, including a flip down video screen so rear seat passengers could be entertained.
