2003 Dodge Ram HD Test Drive
In 2002, the Ram 1500 received a ground up makeover. For 2003 the heavy duty Rams got the same treatment. With the same “big-rig” look as the 1500, the 2500/3500 had the option of the most powerful diesel on the market with the all new HO Cummins turbo Diesel making 555 lb-ft of torque. And the Hemi was back! The all new 5.7L Hemi Magnum V8 made 345 hp. The new 4WD axle retained beam construction, and new rear axles boosted payload ratings. It was a tough new Ram.
