With monstrous 20-inch wheels, the FX45 stood out in the SUV crowd. Based on the G35 car platform, it delivered passenger car reflexes and better handling than most truck based SUV’s. The FX45 was powered by a version of the V8 found in the Q45 luxury sedan and came standard with leather upholstery, sports suspension, and all wheel drive. The FX35 was powered by a 3.5-liter V6 and was available with rear or all wheel drive. All model came with a five speed automatic transmission, traction control, brake assist, and an antiskid system. Front and head curtain airbags enhanced passive safety.
