No styling changes, but some new technology underneath was new for 1997. The Integrated Chassis Control System (ICCS) was available only for the Touring Sedan. By detecting forces that occur when the vehicle was going contrary to a driver’s wishes, ICCS would help prevent loss of control. It had limitations, but it helped the car remain more stable in extreme conditions.
