01979 Dodge St. Regis Commercial
Dodge dumped its really big Royal Monacos after 1977, leaving only mid-sizeMonacos for 1978. For 1979, Dodge dumped he Monaco line altogether and unveiled this mid-size sedan called St. Regis. A close cousin of Chrysler’s R-body Newport/New Yorker, it came with a 110 bhp, 225-did Slant Six. A 150bhp 360 V-8 was optional. St. Regis wore glass covered headlamps and sold for only $6532. Too bad for Dodge, it didn’t sell all that well attracting a so so 34,972 customers.
