In the personal/luxury segment, the Riviera carried on with a mild restyling job inside and out in base and T-Type trim levels, the T-Type taking the 3.8-liter turbo engine as standard equipment, with tighter suspension. The 4.1-liter 4-barrel V-6 would be standard in regular Riviera coupes, with the Oldsmobile 5.7-liter diesel engine optional. The Riviera’s optional 6-speaker Concert Sound System was further updated and improved for 1982.
