1982 Ford Mustang GT Commercial – The Boss Is Back
“The Boss is Back” said the ad for the new 1982 Mustang GT. The backbone of this high-performance model was a 5.0-liter H.O. V-8 with 157 horsepower. It could to 0-60 mph in eight seconds. The body sported monotone front and rear fascias, a color-keyed integral spoiler, body-color cowl grilles and GT badges. The GT sold for $8,308 and 23,447 were manufactured.

I so very badly wanted one of these back in the day. While it was technically inferior to the contemporary Z28, the Mustang was a better seller most likely due to it’s lower cost of entry.
Even now, I would still like one of these to grace my garage.
