Reflecting Ford’s new found fondness for “aero” design was 1984’s startling new Lincoln Mark VII coupe, derived from the latest Thunderbird. First year Mark VII sales were 33,344, up almost 3000 over the 1983 Mark VI. Surprisingly popular was the new $23,706 LSC (Luxury Sport Coupe) with firmer suspension, blackwall tires, and other “more European” features.
