1987 Jeep Cherokee Commercial

Having been the only domestic compact four door SUV on the market, it already had a hand up on the segment. In 1987 Jeep began offering the Cherokee in a class leading 4.0 inline six cylinder engine, which made it the class leader. Without being perfect, the Cherokee met with deserved success because of its automobile like comfort and multi use characteristics which made it practical and safe for both work and leisure.
