1987: Nova goes nowhere
Chevrolet’s Toyota Corolla-based Nova small car was to follow the fashion of its progenitor vehicle in 1989, when the Corolla was redrawn. The Toyota Sprinter, the Japanese home market version of the Nova, showed the direction. Virtually every exterior panel was to change, both Toyota and GM confirmed.
