It didn’t seduce quite as many would-be Mercedes buyers as divisional viziers might have hoped, but Cadillac’s Allante entered its second year in the luxo wars still aimed squarely at the top end of the market.Thought it could have used more horsepower, it was otherwise a well-wrought and thoroughly competent luxury two-seater. Most significant changes for the 1988 model year was availability of two new colors, red and black.
