1988 Lincoln Continental Test Drive
1988 was the year the not-so-secretive Continental was revealed. This was touted as one of the worst-kept new product secrets of its time.
The 1988 Conti’ was completely new, front to rear, inside and out, in the best definition of the word “new.” It was front driven, 4-wheel disc brakes with ABS (pretty advanced for the 80s), and powered by Ford’s all new 3.8 liter V6, and, by all accounts, still remained a large car.
