Suzuki Sidekick, the hidden Samurai! The Sidekick/Tracker was an affordable all terrain vehicle. The old Samurai was definitely inferior even if it was less expensive. The Dodge Raider was in another category and while the Jeep YJ was solid, it was heavier, used more fuel, more expensive and not really comfortable and the finish was lacking. The Sidekick provided a step up for Samurai owners and at the same time attracted new buyers looking for some comfort and quality in an all terrain vehicle.
