01989 Cadillac Eldorado & Seville Manufacturer Promo
The Seville’s claim to improvement in 1989 were driver and passenger six-way power seats and a few other less significant changes. The new road oriented STS was the real news, and proved popular. It’s 4-passenger Seville enriched with special exterior trim, genuine burled elm accents for the instrument panel and console, and burled elm was also used on door panels, console (that extended rearward between the two seats), and horn pad. Seville jumped from some 18,600 sales to nearly 23,000 for 1988. Total Seville sales fell slightly, to 20,909 in 1989.
Given a crisp facelift and 4.5L V-8 for 1988, the Cadillac Eldorado returned for 1989 with a Touring Suspension option that gave it surprisingly good handling. Sales which had risen sharply to 33,210 eased to 30,928. Eldo’s base 1989 price was $26,738.
