In 1989, it was said that Porsche was working on a radical new two-plus-two to take the flavor and basic layout of the 911 into the next millennium. although still at an ‘evolutionary’ stage, the car was lighter, simpler, and cheaper than the contemporary 911, but was said to offer just as much excitement.
