The first thing you notice about the 1989 Nissan Maxima was its sophisticated exterior styling. A simply wonderful looking on automobile. This was a car that was contemporary with out looking like everything else on the road. Inside, it was pretty much the same story. The clean lines and sensible layout set a new standard, the interior, reminiscent of a fine stereo, well integrated with no superfluity. But it isn’t just the looks that impress. Thought it’s no rocketship, the acceleration and handling were both impressive. In short, the Maxima was a terrific looking, fine handling machine that may well have been the best value in its segment.
