41991 Hyundai Scoupe Test Drive
The Scoupe was the third vehicle offered by Hyundai, following the subcompact Excel and the mid-size Sonata. The Scoupe was a two door coupe, based on the same platform as the Excel. The Excel itself received a thorough revision for the 1990 model year. In addition to new interior and exterior styling, which gave the Excel a fresh look for the 1990’s, the new engine provided 20 percent more horsepower than the previous one. Surprisingly, fuel economy was up 20 percent too.
The Scoupe had unique styling so that it wouldn’t look much like its Excel brother. The exterior was modern in appearance, but not excessively sporty. Hyundai tried to appeal to buyers who would like a sporty car, such as the Toyota Celica or Honda Prelude, but don’t have the budget. Rather than buy the subcompact hatchback that most manufacturers offered in this price range, the Scoupe appeared a bit sportier and more youthful.
Hey Baja Busta! Could you possibly post a video of a 2003 accord coupe V6 manual, or a mk4 Jetta 1.8t or VR6 manual? I’d love to see a review
oh man, i hope so too! I love that gen accord 6-pot manual. I had a coworker with one and it was very quick! the Jetta, not too confident! I do post all my content, so stay tuned!
Awesome! Yeah I got the 03 V6 6Speed in night hawk black. I consider the BMW of Honda lol. 5.8 seconds 0-60 and 240hp. Love it.
