Meet the rakish new for 1992 Skylark, which Buick hoped would attract younger buyers to their showrooms. Buick’s compact wore fresh styling on an updated front-drive chassis and came in two and four door styling in base and sporty GS trim. Whereas the conservatively styled 1985-1991 Skylark looked like a mini-Buick, the 1992 version had a jaunty, flamboyant exterior.
The redesigned Skylark was 189.2 inches form stem to stern, nine inches longer than its predecessor. Wheelbase was 103.4 inches, same as the 85-91 generation’s. Overall width was 67.5 inches, one inch greater than before.
