1992: CRX Revival for 1996?
With the fifth generation Civic already off to the races, Honda’s replacement was already on the drawing board, with plans calling for three or four body styles, including a two door hatchback that returns to a single piece tailgate design.
Also in the works was the follow-up to the CRX Coupe. Although the targa-top Civic del Sol may give way to a true convertible or roadster, the much loved old-style CRX was rumored to return as a compact two-plus-two coupe.
