1992 Dodge Caravan Manufacturer Promo
Though redesigned in 1991, Chrysler’s popular minivans got several changes for 1992. Prime among these were a standard driver side air bag and optional twin integrated child seats. Those, along with ABS and AWD gave the Chrysler mini-vans a range of safety and all weather security unmatched in the family-wagon field. Caravan and its cousins may not have been perfect, but the first modern minivans were better than ever. The American built Nissan Quest and Mercury Villager twins were strong competitors, though perhaps not a better value. Incentives and strong Japanese yen made the Chrysler models the better dollar buys.
