01992 Jeep Wrangler Renegade Test Drive
The Wrangler Remained the direct heir of the Jeep tradition, which stretched back 50 years to the original military mules. The 4 liter inline 6 stood head and shoulders above the other power plants in the 4×4 sport niche. And the Wrangler was also available in enough different trims to satisfy almost any buyer and any budget, ranging from a stripped-down S model to the fully loaded Sahara and Renegade. The Renegade model arrived at the top of the line with a host of extra features. The Wrangler wasn’t exactly a luxury car, but the Renegade had some extra features including the 4 liter engine as standard equipment. Other changes for 92 included some fresh color treatments on the Sahara package, 3 new colors on the regular model, a new clock and 3-point rear belts on the new rear cage.
