1992 Lexus SC300 5-Speed Test Drive
In its second model year, the Lexus Coupe received a passenger side airbag. There were two varieties of this sporty luxury car: The SC300 with 225-horsepower, 24-valve inline six cylinder engine, and the SC400 with 250-horsepower, 32-valve V-8 and the same V-8 as in the LS400 sedan.
The only way to get a five-speed manual was with the SC300. The silken four-speed automatic was available either way.
