1993: Blazing New Trails, From Tahoe to the Yukon
In 1993, GMC Truck sources leaked a decision. A decision to go forward with lengthening the full-size Yukon/Blazer sport/utility vehicles to gain a model with an additional set of doors. The revamped four-door four-wheel-driver was anticipated to be introduced as a 1996 model, fitting into a slender product niche between the regular-length Yukon and the Suburban.
