1993 Mazda RX-7 Test Drive
Though introduced early in 1992, the completely revamped RX-7 was actually called a 1993. Therefore, it continued into the calendar year 1993 as is. Available only in sequential turbo form (to reduce turbo lag), the two-rotor power plant revved high and made big thrust (255 horsepower). With 50/50 front/rear weight distribution, rear drive, and a chassis that was essentially race-ready this was a world class sports car. A driver side airbag was standard.
