01994 Pontiac Grand Prix SE Sedan Test Drive
Sometimes, there can be too many choices. Pontiac believed the previous Grand Prix lineup was too complex and simplified its coupe and sedan models to only two trim levels each; SE and GT for the four-door, and SE and GTP for the two-door. The SE versions used a 3.1-liter pushroad V-6 (160 horsepower) as standard, but was offered with the same potent 3.4-liter DOHC V-6 (210 horsepower) that was used in the hi-po GT and GTP. Inside, the sport-themed Grand Prix served up a new instrument panel, standard dual airbags, adn improved switchgear. A mild front restyling identified the uplevel versions.
