01995 Dodge Ram Club Cab Test Drive
As Motor Trends 1994 Truck of the Year, the Dodge Ram stood boldly atop the truckin’ hierarchy as the pickup with the most standard interior room and largest, most powerful available engine (8.0-liter/300-horsepower V-10). New for 1995 was a CNG-fueled 5.2-liter V-8 and a Club Cab model that delivered room for up to six burly dudes. Even so, the Ram deftly blended comfort and utility: Pull out the cupholder and harness those big Slurpees; stow your carry-alongs in the console so large it doubled as a Samsonite two-suiter. Traction came in 4×2 or 4×4 modes, there was an optional Cummins turbo diesel, and maximum towing capacity was a ‘then’ staggering 19,000 pounds. Need anything more?
