Sharing many styling cues with Mercedes’ flagship S-Class line, the midsize E-Class fleet offered buyers a wide range of engines and body styles.  Coupe, sedan, convertible, and station wagon models melded traditional Mercedes Benz quality, safety, and comfort with a variety of different power plants. The engine size was noted in each model’s designation: E320 for th e3.2-liter inline-six; E420 for the 4.2-liter V-8.  A new 3.0-liter normally aspirated diesel (the E300 Diesel) was the mpg champ and was available in all 50 states.  Aside from the cancellation of the beloved E500 hi-po sport sedan, there were no major changes for 1995.  All models included standard dual airbags and ABS.
