Mercedes Benz decided to look for a younger clientele and more importantly, to rid itself of a reputation for manufacturing dead-serious automobiles. It wanted to prove that its bold less of a stuffed shirt, and the best expression of its new orientation were the redesigned E Class sedan.

Quality and durability had always been the main attribute of Mercedes-Benz products. Since this distinction was no longer sufficient in a market where the competition can make the same claims, the German make had resolved to give its automobiles a style that’s less severe and , lets face it, more popular. If the new E Class models are an accurate reflection of this new direction the builder made a very good move indeed.
