1995 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 Test Drive
The quintessential sports-car icon was thoroughly revamped, yielding new levels of performance. A resculptered front end rewarded with extra frunk capacity, airflow improvements, and a sleeker appearance while retaining the traditional 911 look. At the rear, there was a new retractable spoiler, tail light panel, and band-o-LEDs center brake light. Under the skin was a new multilink A-arm rear suspension, a higher-output 3.6-liter SOHC flat-six (up from 247 to 270 horsepower), and a new six-speed manual gearbox. Coupe and Cabriolet body styles continued, but the super fast Turbo 3.6 model vanished.
