1996 Porsche 911 Cabriolet Test Drive

As it was in 1969, the 911 was again Porsche’s sole model offering. The 928 and 968 vanished for 96′, but the evergreen rear engine Carrera extracted 12 more horsepower (up to 282) from its 3.6 liter SOHC flat six and now wore the optional 18 inch wheels. Available as a coupe, or this Cabriolet, with either rear or all wheel drive, ti entered its 33rd year as compelling as the day it premiered.
