1999 Acura 3.2TL Test Drive

Acura aimed to rock the boat in the affordable luxury sedan segment, their all new 3.2 TL embodied a strong combination of features and engineering. A luscious 3.2 liter VTEC V 6 moved ahead of its main competitors from Lexus, Mercedes Benz, BMW, and Infiniti. With a standard SportShift automatic that was said to snag changes quicker than a Porsche Tiptronic, the new TL promised to be swifter than its rivals too. The enlarged, leather-lined cabin had strong luxury sports overtones and featured plenty of comfort and convenience items, all as standard equipment.
