2000 Mercedes-Benz E320 4Matic Test Drive
Taking styling cues from the CLK-series, the newly restyled E-Class sported a revised hood, new wheels, front and rear aprons, and rocker panels. The E320 sedan and wagon came with a 3.2-liter/221-horsepower SOHC V-6, while the E430 had a 4.3-liter/275-horsepower SOHC V-8. The AMG modified E55 was also available for those who lived for 4.8-second 0-60-mph acceleration (which should be just about everyone, as far as we’re concerned). The E300 Turbo Diesel model was discontinued. All E-class models now had curtain-type inflatable side protection adn carried exclusive Mercedes-Benz Touch Shift, TeleAid, adn ESP, as well as free maintenance for 50,000 miles.
