2000 Qvale Mangusta Test Drive

The oddly proportioned Qvale Mangusta probably gets as many thumbs up, as it did thumbs down, with positiviey, no neutral ground. It is a love it or hate it design. Lift the hood and you’d be gazing at eight cylinders o all American motivation. Aside from the Qvale insignia, it was a Mustang Cobra engine, all 4.6L and 320 hp of it. At only 281 cubic inches, this engine wasn’t big on low rpm torque. Twist the tach needle far to the right, however, and this mill performed, delivering those 320 hp at 6000 rpm and 314 bl-ft of torque at 4800 revs. Having to decide if the car’s unusual styling works for you, is a rare and unique choice to have.
