Here was a funky German alternative to contemporary me-too minivans of the day. Updated in 2001 with a more powerful engine, all three EuroVan models entered 2002 without major change. The GLS was designed for suburban duty. The MV model was a step between the GLS and the long-wheelbase EuroVan camper and had many of the overnight camping amenities of the bigger model. The EuroVan Camper was the spiritual heir to decades of Volkswagen Microbus Westfalia campers, with equipment to make any campsite a cozy place. With the weekender package, the EuroVan MV and Camper came with a bed for two.
