Cadillac made changes to the hot, one model-year-old ‘Slade, including an optional DVD system and XM satellite radio. New dual-level front-seat airbag systems made the Escalade safer, and an upgraded stability system and high intensity discharge headlights made one less likely. Midyear, an extended Escalade ESV (Cadillac’s version of the Chevrolet Suburban 1500) would let you take more of the ‘hood’ with you.
